((Not even Magic Anons :/ ))
I can’t join other shtuff like 30 min challenges because I would be either asleep or in school ;-;
Basically, it makes any pigment in the layer glow, kinda makes it look like light is showing out.
If you want a certain point to be concentrated with light, like something like a lightning streak or the bulb of a flood light, use something with high opacity and something with hard edges, like the pen. Then illuminate it with something that has low opacity and soft edges.
For me, I use the marker and blur tool for illumination. Hope this helps.
Heh, maybe I should do a tutorial on this…
I was inspired by UC77 (The guy behind Hot Blooded Pinkie Pie) to draw energy at that type of magnitude. So after a visit to the Skype group, I learnt how he used the Dodge and Burn (In Photoshop)/Luminosity Layers (In SAI) to recreate blinding energy. It was simple, and I thought I had to increase the brightness of my computer…
I’m excited for the 4th one. Although it is quite sad that Bungie ain’t making it.
But it shouldn’t be that bad, since 343 has some employees from Bungie. Let’s just hope they don’t screw this up ;)
The fact that anyone can be a great artist through hard work and determination drives me forward to my very goal of becoming a well-known experienced and talented artist.
Heh, hope I could make a living out of this one day…
I think I did pretty great. I could’ve done better with the details but didn’t have time.
It was a pain drawing every single panel though, had to search through my folder of references and shtuff for dust particles, weaponry and energy effects.
But overall, the process of drawing it was fun…
